I shot up from dead sleep as my alarm chimed. I am not sure why. Maybe it was the remnant of a dream still drifting in my unconsciousness. But I howled softly in a singsong way “The Cylons stole my ovary!”
This is not the first time I have sat up in a bed and said something ridiculous before, but I think it might be my favorite.
